Ana Isabel Keilson lives and makes dances in New York City; she is also a history Ph.D candidate at Columbia University. Fellowships and awards include: DAAD (German/American Academic Exchange) Fellowship, 2011; Choreographic Fellowship, Summer Stages Dance (2010); Choreographer in Residence, The Yard (2010); visiting artist, Storefront for Art and Architecture, NYC (2010); visiting artist, Daghdha Dance Company, Ireland (2009); Jacob’s Pillow Choreographer’s Lab American Dance Guild Scholarship (2009); Phi Beta Kappa (2005). She collaborates with the Moscow/St. Petersburg-based directors Kseniya Petrenko and Alexeii Zherebstov (LIQUID THEATER); she has also performed with luciana achugar, Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Nugent+Matteson Dance, and Daniel McCusker. Teaching cred includes: the Putney School Summer Program (2009); Bowdoin College (guest lecturer 2008 and 2009); CLASSCLASSCLASS (2009-2011); Barnard Dances at Miller Theater (current).

From 2008 to 2009 she was the film archivist for Merce Cunningham. She is the founder and organizer of ‘the zine.’ In 2010 she was the co-director of CLASSCLASSCLASS. She was a writer in residence for for Danspace Project’s 2011 Body Madness Platform.
